Arsenal have not given up on their pursuit of long-term target Edinson Cavani, The Telegraph claims.
The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been a huge admirer of Cavani's talents, and it is now reported that the club will make a formal approach for his services in the New Year.
It is added that the Uruguay international could favour a switch to the Emirates as he is discontent playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the centre-forward role.
Cavani joined the French giants from Napoli in 2013, and has since then plyed most of his trade on the flanks
