Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly earmarked Barcelona's Marc-Andre Ter Stegen as his prime target for the New Year.

Spanish publication Sport now claims that Klopp has requested the Reds' hierarchy to finance a possible deal for the talented goalkeeper in January.

Ter Stegen, who has a £56m release clause in his contract, is thought to be unsettled by lack of first-team action at Camp Nou.
