The Argentina international has been a consistent performer for Lazio following his move from Anderlecht in 2013.

Bilgia had been linked with a move to the Red Devils over the summer, before Louis van Gaal opted to land his former player in Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich.

Spanish source Fichajes now cites that United will revive their pursuit for the 29-year-old in the New Year. It is added that the Mancunian giants may have a tough time luring the player to Old Trafford, with Los Blancos also monitoring proceedings.

The midfield enforcer has notched eight goals in 58 league appearances for the Capital outfit till date.
