Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea are known to be monitoring the performances of highly-rated Valencia full-back Jose Gaya.
Gaya had been linked with a move to the English top tier over the summer, until he inked a new five-year contract at Mestalla.
According to the Express, Gaya has been close tracked by United and Chelsea in recent months, and the duo may have a potential transfer battle to land his services in the New Year.
It is added that Los Che will demand a fee in excess of £40m for the 20-year-old, who has been tipped to become one of Spain's best.
Valencia are currently third in La Liga behind Real Madrid and Barcelona.
