Jamie Vardy plays down Real Madrid speculation

10 November 2015 - 16:58

Leicester City star Jamie Vardy has dismissed rumours linking him with move to Real Madrid during the winter transfer window.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • The England international has been in superb form for the Foxes this season, and has already notched 12 goals in as many league games.

Speculation has claimed that Real Madrid could make a shock swoop for the 28-year-old in January following his breakthrough spell at the King Power Stadium.

However, Vardy has rebuffed the speculation by citing that he is full focused on his job at the East Midlands outfit.

"It is all speculation, it is as simple as that," he told Sky Sports. "I am happy with what I am doing at Leicester and long may that continue. It has been a brilliant start for myself as well as the team."

Vardy has scored in each of last nine league appearances for his club.
