Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is set to be rewarded with a new contract extension on a bumper wage structure.

The Chilean international has been one of the club's stand-out performers following his switch from Barcelona last year.

According to The Mirror, Sanchez will extend his stay until 2020 in a new deal which could earn him in excess of &pound40m.

Sanchez, who joined North Londoners for &pound35m, has amassed seven goals in all competitions this season.
