Chelsea - Top Five Transfer Targets

Who Could Chelsea Sign This Winter?

Chelsea - Top Five Transfer Targets

26 November 2015 - 13:42

Reigning English champions Chelsea are expected to go on a winter spending spree following a poor start to their league defence.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Below are the possible targets the Blues could hope to land in the New Year.

    WILLIAM CARVALHO

The Portuguese international has been long linked with a move to the Premier League with London rivals Arsenal being his main suitors. Carvalho has recently stalled talks over a contract extension at Sporting Lisbon, and this could be the perfect chance for the Blues to clinch his services.

    Possibility - 40/100

    JONATHAN CALLERI

Calleri is believed to have caught the eye of Blues scouts during their expedition in Argentina. Recent speculation have claimed that the 22-year-old could be on his way to Stamford Bridge after he gave in an application for a passport. Calleri's play is often likened to Napoli star Gonzalo Higuain.

    Possibility - 80/100

    EDINSON CAVANI

Uruguayan international Edinson Cavani has often played second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Paris Saint-Germain, and this has led to speculation that he may seek a fresh challenge. However, with Ibra approaching the end stages of his career, Cavani may well stay put with the Ligue 1 champions.

    Possibility - 25/100

    SAIDO BERAHINO

The Burkina Faso born star has fast turned into a top striker in England. Berahino had been tipped to make a move to Tottenham Hotspur over the summer, but the Baggies chiefs managed to reject multiple bids to keep hold of their main asset. However, the 22-year-old has yet to shrug off his disappointment, and may well consider a winter exit from the Hawthorns.

    Possibility - 70/100

    JAMIE VARDY

Vardy has been in top form for Leicester City this campaign, and this has pushed them to the top of the league standings. The England international has fallen on the radar of several Elite clubs and the Foxes may be tempted to cash in on his services, should they receive a substantial offer in January.

    Possibility - 35/100
