Didier Drogba could find himself back in a Chelsea shirt when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
The Blues' favourite is currently plying his trade at MLS side Montreal Impact.
Interim boss Guus Hiddink has recently confirmed that he is open to recruiting Drogba as part of his backroom staff.
According to The Mail, the Premier League holders are compromising a deal with Montreal Impact over the release of Drogba.
The report adds that the Blues are willing to offer the legendary striker with a player-coach contract to return to Stamford Bridge.
Drogba scored 164 goals in 381 appearances across two spells at Chelsea.
