14 January 2008 - 10:07

Mark Hughes has found his name put forward to several high profile jobs in the last few months, including Newcastle and England. However, the Blackburn boss has today stressed that his future is at Blackburn and that he will not be leaving anytime soon.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • "I have the support from the chairman (John Williams) and the board," explained Hughes. "That is something you do not give up lightly.

"The fact is I have continuity here and a good situation. Things are in place and I am very conscious of that.

"All I am trying to do is my job to the best of my ability with the help of my staff. I am Blackburn manager and have a job to do here.

"In football you need time and I have been given that. I am proud to be manager of this club."
