Liverpool are mulling over a late swoop for former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, sources reveal.
The Mexican international joined Bayer Leverkusen on a three-year contract in the summer after he was deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
He has since then had a great run in the Bundesliga and this has caught the eye of several top sides in Europe.
German sources suggest that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp finds the striker as the ideal fit for his tactical setup. It is added that the Merseysiders could be tempted to make a bid for the 27-year-old before the transfer window shuts on Monday.
Hernandez has netted 19 goals in all competitions for Leverkusen this term.
