According to newspaper reports Tottenham have been told to increase their orginal offer of £8m for Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing..

  • It has been suggested that Downing had confided to close friends that he expected his weekend game for Boro against Liverpool to be his last.



    Ian Elliot Downing's agent wants the deal completed before he leaves the country tomorrow.



    Everton are also interested but it is believed that the winger wants to move to London.



    Also rumour has it that Jermain Defoe is targetted by Portsmouth. This coming after Ramos last week told Defoe he was allowed to leave the club.
