Atletico Madrid could step up their pursuit to re-sign Chelsea striker Diego Costa in the summer.
The Basque outfit are known to have made enquiries over the player's availability this winter, but the Blues were not keen on his sale.
Spanish outlet Marca suggests that Atleti will have sufficient funds to sign their former striker in July following the £31m sale of Jackson Martinez to Guangzhou Evergrande.
It is added that the Spain international could consider a return to Atleti, given his struggles with Chelsea during the current campaign.
Costa has netted just six goals in the Premier League this season.
