Former AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong has penned a one-year contract with MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy.
De Jong, who had previously attracted interest from Manchester United, failed to earn a regular role at the Rossoneri this season.
The Netherlands international has now linked up with Los Angeles Galaxy on a free transfer after he mutually cut ties with Milan during the recently concluded transfer window.
The 31-year-old will join up with former Premier League stars Steven Gerrard and Ashley Cole at his new club.
De Jong made over 130 appearances for Manchester City during a three-year spell between 2009 and 2012.
