Experienced midfielder Michael Carrick looks set to further his stay at Manchester United, according to reports.
The 34-year-old had been recently linked with a move overseas with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season.
However, The Mirror understands that the England international will be offered with a one-year extension for his good showing in the league this season.
It is added that the new deal will have the option of taking up a coaching role with the Mancunian giants.
Carrick has been a regular for the Red Devils since his move from Tottenham Hotspur nearly a decade ago.
