Nikica Jelavic makes China switch

16 February 2016 - 13:20

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has confirmed that Croatian forward Nikica Jelavic has sealed his move to Chinese League One side Beijing Renhe.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • The 30-year-old had struggled to firm a regular place in the Hammers setup since his switch from Hull City last summer.

Jelavic becomes the latest player to link up with the Asian spenders that have signed the likes of Ramires, Alex Teixeira and Jackson Martinez in the winter transfer window.

"Nikica Jelavic has completed his move to Chinese second division team Beijing Renhe. Good luck. Nikica." Gold revealed via twitter.

The former Rangers star netted three goals in 15 games for West Ham United this season.
