Manchester City are understood to be eyeing a summer deal for Real Madrid defender Marcelo.
The Brazil international has been a key player for the Bernabeu giants since his move from Fluminense nearly a decade ago.
According to The Guardian, Incoming City boss Pep Guardiola will seek to bring in a world-class left-back in the summer as he is not convinced with the abilities of Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov.
The report adds that the Spaniard considers Marcelo as the ideal player to fit his tactical setup for next season.
Marcelo has netted 19 goals in 253 league appearances for the Bernabeu giants.
