Athletic Bilbao sensation Aymeric Laporte is understood to have finalized on a deal to join Manchester City in the summer.
The France under-21 international is regarded as one of the finest young defenders to have emerged in European football.
Laporte had attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona in recent months, but according to Sport, it is Manchester City who have won the race to acquire the player's signature.
It is added that the Citizens have agreed to pay the centre-back's release clause which currently stands at around £39.4m.
The 21-year-old has racked over 100 La Liga appearances for Bilbao since his debut in 2012.
