Manchester City are apparently heading the queue to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
The German international is expected to seek a fresh challenge overseas once his contract expires at BVB in the summer.
According to The Mail, the Citizens have emerged as front-runners to land the talented attacker, who is said to be keen on a move to the Premier League next season.
It is added that the player will snub the Old Lady despite their concrete interest during the start of the current campaign.
Gundogan has been previously linked with a move to league rivals Arsenal.
