Ivory Coast international Yaya Toure is eager to ply his trade in the Premier League even if he is offloaded from Manchester City at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old has been tipped to make way from the Etihad this summer as he has a shrewd relationship with incoming City boss Pep Guardiola.
According to The Mirror, the former African player of the year is keen on remaining in the top flight, should he be deemed surplus to requirements at City.
The report adds that the Citizens are unlikely to encourage his decision as they do not want to sell him to a direct league rival.
Guardiola is understood to have sold Toure during his time at Barcelona after he apparently refused to obey to onfield managerial instructions.
