Liverpool are lining up a summer bid for Manchester City midfielder Fernando. according to reports. The 28-year-old has struggled to seal a regular berth in the first-team since his switch from FC Porto last season.
According to The Sun, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp will seek to bring in a new enforcer this summer in a bid to add more steel to his midfield setup.
It is added that Fernando is the primary target for the Merseysiders, and could be available for a fee of around £10m.
Former club Porto are also expected to lodge an offer of their own for the combative midfielder.
Fernando has made just 11 league appearances for the Citizens this season.
