  • Niguez has emerged as a top player for the Madrid giants since his debut last season, and this has caught the radar of top Premier League sides.

Recent speculation had suggested that the player could find himself in the English league next term with Atleti reluctant to accept to his wage demands.

However, according to Cadena SER, the Spanish giants consider the player in high regard and are confident of getting a new deal before the end of the season.

It is added that Atleti have recently snubbed a £23.4 bid from the Gunners, as it was well below the player's £35m escape clause.

Niguez has featured in 34 games for Atletico Madrid this season.
