Manchester United could make a summer swoop for Athletic Bilbao star Oscar de Marcos, should Louis van Gaal remain in charge at the club.
The 26-year-old has spent most of his career at the Basque outfit, notching over 275 appearances in all competitions.
De Marcos has been recently associated with a switch to Chelsea, but according to Spanish source Don Balon, United could launch a bid of their own, if Van Gaal is to stay beyond the current season.
Bilbao currently value their star man at around £12m.
The talented player has the versatility to play at either midfield or full-back.
De Marcos has made 44 appearances in all competitions for Bilbao this campaign.
