Everton are apparently heading the queue to sign former Manchester United forward Nani. The Portugal international joined Fenerbahce last summer after he fell out-of-favour at Old Trafford.

Nani has since then had a good run at the Turkish giants , and this has improved his showing at the international stage.

Recent speculation had suggested that the 29-year-old could be heading back to England, and according to transfermarketweb, it is the Toffees who are looking into a deal for the versatile attacker.

Roberto Mancini's side are willing to match the player's escape clause which currently stands at &pound6.5m.

Nani has amassed nine goals for club and country this season.
