England international Jonjo Shelvey is keen on staying at Newcastle United, even if they drop to the Championship.
The 24-year-old joined the Magpies from Swansea City in a £12m deal in January.
It had been recently claimed that Shelvey could be among the top names to leave Tyneside, should the club fail to preserve their Premier League status.
However, according to The Mail, the former Liverpool graduate does not relegation clause in his contract, but intends to remain at St.James Park wherever they may play next term.
Fellow teammates Moussa Sissoko and Andros Townsend are also among those without relegation clauses in their deals.
Newcastle United are currently six points adrift of safety with six games to play.
