Victor Wanyama is reportedly stalling on a fresh contract at Southampton amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur. The Kenyan international had been the subject of a transfer bid from Spurs last summer but the Saints were not keen on his sale.
The 24-year-old has since then struggled to keep his discipline in the playing field with as many as three red cards attained during the current league season.
According to The Mirror, the combative midfielder has stalled on a new five-year deal at St.Mary's as he has sets his sights on playing Champions League football next season.
Adding to this, the player is hopeful that Spurs will revive their interest in his services at the end of the campaign.
Wanyama has made over 90 appearances for the South Coast side since his switch from Celtic in 2013.
