Crystal Palace eye Alex Song deal

22 April 2016 - 13:22

Crystal Palace are hopeful of sealing a cut-price deal for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song this summer.

  • Arsenal & Man Utd handed boost in signing French star
  • Man Utd planning to replace Erik ten Hag after FA Cup final

  • The 28-year-old joined the Hammers on loan for a second year running with a view to a permanent stay at the end of the season.

However, he has since then struggled to earn a regular role under Slaven Bilic, and signs are he will return to his parent club in the summer.

According to The Sun, Alan Pardew's side will look to take advantage of the player's status and finalize a £4m transfer for the former Arsenal man.

Nevertheless, Song would have to take a substantial pay-cut from his £80,000-a-week wages if he is to join the South London side.

Song has made just eight league starts for the Hammers this term.
