Toffees want Ospina

Everton plot Ospina bid

29 April 2016 - 13:00

Everton are preparing a summer approach for Arsenal's back-up goalkeeper David Ospina. The Colombian international is said to be considering his future at the Emirates after he fell below Petr Cech in the pecking order.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The Toffees are on the hunt for a new shot-stopper with veteran star Tim Howard set to link up with MLS side Colorado Rapids at the end of the season.

Joel Robles has owned the number one shirt at Goodison Park, but according to Fichajes, the club's hierarchy are eager to bring in a competent rival.

Ospina is the number one target for the Merseyside outfit given his recent experience in the English top flight.

Reports elsewhere suggest that the Toffees could begin their search for a new manager with Roberto Martinez tipped to be dismissed before the end of the campaign.
