Liverpool could get their hands on German international Mario Gotze after it was revealed that he is not in the plans of future boss Carlo Ancelotti.
The World Cup winner has had a tough time in the Bundesliga this season with injuries and fitness issues denting his chances of earning a regular place in the starting setup.
According to German source Sueddeutsche Zeitung, the 23-year-old is free to leave the Bundesliga holders this summer as he is unlikely to earn sufficient gametime under Ancelotti.
The news will come us a huge boost for the Reds, whose manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be keen on a reunion with the player.
Gotze previously worked under Klopp during his time at Borussia Dortmund.
