Arsenal are set to offer a two-year extension to manager Arsene Wenger despite unrest among some of the club's supporters. The Frenchman's current deal is due to expire at the end of next season.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Wenger, 66, has been severely criticised in recent months for his side's failure to challenge for the league title this term.

It had been recently speculated that the Gunners' hierarchy may opt for a replacement for the long-time head coach given the demand from a part of the club's faithful.

However, their mindset remains unchanged and are now set to put their trust on Wenger by offering him a new deal to keep him at the Emirates until 2019.

Nevertheless, the loyal fans could expect a busy transfer window given the £100m revenue up for grabs from the Premier League TV deal next season.
