Manchester United are readying a &pound25m offer for Southampton winger Sadio Mane. The Senegalese had been on demand last summer but the Saints were not keen on losing their player.

According to The Sun, United are set to revive their interest in Mane as they seek to bolster their attacking options ahead of the next season.

Mane, 24, could provide the ideal boost for the Mancunian giants, who largely struggled to find the net during the previous league campaign.

The arrival of the talented attacker is likely to heap more pressure on the out-of-favour Memphis Depay.

Depay has struggled to make a mark at Old Trafford since his switch from PSV Eindhoven last year.
