Spanish midfielder Juan Mata is likely to stay put at Manchester United despite the imminent arrival of former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho. The 28-year-old had been sold by the 'Special One' during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Mata struggled to make the cut under the Portuguese head coach and this lured him to Old Trafford on a £37m deal at the start of 2014.
With Mourinho set to take charge of the club this week, there had been speculation that the Spaniard could find himself surplus to requirements at the FA Cup holders.
However, according to The Mail, Mata is content plying his trade at the Mancunian giants, and would try to the best of his ability to prove his worth to the new manager.
Mata has amassed over 100 appearances for the Red Devils till date.
