Belgian international Radja Nainggolan has confirmed that Chelsea have made contact with AS Roma regarding a potential move for his services.
The midfielder has been tipped to join the Stamford Bridge outfit with manager Antonio Conte eager to freshen up his midfield ahead of the new season.
“There has been contact between Roma and Chelsea. But I will not get involved so long as there is no agreement between the clubs," Nainggolan told HLN Nina.
He added that Conte had previously tried signing him at Juventus, and the prospect of playing for the Blues would be overwhelming.
The 28-year-old is currently the Blues' top target for the summer as they look to overcome a dismal 2015/16 campaign that saw them finish 10th with 50 points.
