Wolfsburg are hot on the chase for PSV Eindhoven defender Jeffrey Bruma. The former Chelsea graduate has emerged as the ideal candidate to replace Naldo at the Volkswagen Arena.

  • Bruma, 24, joined the Dutch outfit in 2013, after he failed to cement a first-team role at Stamford Bridge. He has since featured on a regular basis for PSV, guiding them to successive league titles in the last two seasons.

German daily Bild says the Wolves are looking into a deal for Bruma as they see him as a successor to the experienced Naldo, who agreed to join league rivals Schalke on a Bosman.

The Netherlands international has previous Bundesliga experience having racked 40 appearances in a two-year loan spell with Hamburger SV.

PSV currently value their asset at around £13m.
