West Ham set Dimitri Payet asking price

Hammers open to Payet sale for £41.6m

West Ham set Dimitri Payet asking price

01 July 2016 - 07:57

West Ham United are willing to cash in on Dimitri Payet this summer provided they receive a fee in excess of £40m. Chelsea and Real Madrid are among the clubs interested in the France international.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The 29-year-old had a top season for the Hammers following his move from Marseille last term, and this has attracted interest from top European clubs.

French publication L'Equipe claims that the East London outfit would entertain the player's exit only if a club matches their hefty valuation.

The Hammers value their asset at £41.6m, and any deal at such a price would be a good business considering they recruited him for a modest £10.7m sum last summer.

Payet is currently featuring for France at the European championships where he has amassed two goals and an assist in four outings.
