Arsenal to lodge fresh Lacazette bid?

Arsenal will make a genuine attempt to sign Alexandre Lacazette, should their move for Gonzalo Higuain fall through. The Gunners are looking to add a world-class striker to their ranks ahead of the new season.

  • The North London giants have been strongly linked with Higuain in recent weeks, but Napoli's £80m asking price proves to be the major hurdle in the transfer negotiations.

According to French outlet Le Progres, the Gunners could revive their pursuit for Lyon hitman Lacazette with Napoli reluctant to come down on their valuation for their asset.

Lacazette was on the Gunners radar during the previous campaign, and a fee of around £42m would be sufficient to bring the France international to the Emirates this summer.

The 25-year-old has amassed over 20 goals in each of his last three seasons at Les Gones.
