Serie A giants Roma will make a loan offer for Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho, according to reports from Italy. Sakho's future is in doubt after manager Jurgen Klopp sent the Frenchman home from a pre-season trip in the USA.
Sakho is wanted by Roma's manager Luciano Spaletti who is looking to resolve a defensive injury crisis with bringing in the talented centre back. The powerful defender, formerly of Paris St Germain, is also being monitored by French club Marseille but it is Roma who are set to win the race for Sakho's signature and sign the defender on loan for the upcoming season.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly set to bring in a new defender before the end of the transfer window as a replacement for the outbound Sakho.
