The Champions League Play-Off was conducted this morning and has thrown up some mouth watering ties. Scottish Champions Celtic have been against Israeli side Hapoel Beer-Sheva, while Manchester City have been drawn against Romanian side Steau Bucharest.

  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The tie of the round is surely between European giants Porto and Roma. Irish side Dundalk have been given a tricky task against Polish Champions Legia Warsaw. Austrian champions Salzburg have been drawn against Dinamo Zagreb who they have defeated on the last four occasions most recently in 2014/2015 when they won 4-1 at home and 5-2 away. The remaining ties see Ajax face Rostov, Ludogrets play Plzen, Copenhagen play Cypriot side Apoel Nicosia, Young Boys of Switzerland play Borrusia Monchengladbach of Germany, while Monaco take on Villareal. 

    The games are to be played on the 15/16th of August with the return legs a week later. 

    The ties are as follows: 

    Ludogrets v Plzen 

    Celtic v Hapoel Beer-Sheva 

    F.C Copenhagen v Apoel Nicosia 

    Dundalk v Legia Warsaw 

    Dinamo Zagreb v Salzburg 

    Steau Bucharest v Man City 

    Porto v Roma 

    Ajax v Rostov 

    Young Boys v Borussia Monchengladbach 

    Villareal v Monaco
