Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful that a deal can be agreed to sign Newcastle United's midfielder Moussa Sissoko. The Frenchman is desperate for a move to the Premier League.
Newcastle have dropped down to the Championship and Sissoko is actively seeking a move elsewhere in pursuit of top flight football. Tottenham are long term admirers of Sissoko and have reportedly made an initial offer for the player, who impressed during the Euro 2016 tournament.
Sissoko has approximately two years remaining on his Toon Army contract and has also been a target for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
