Championship side Nottingham Forest are nearing the signing of former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner. The 28-year-old is a free-agent after he left Wolfsburg by mutual consent in April.
Bendtner had an unsuccessful stint at the Volkswagen Arena where he appeared just 31 league appearances in a span of two seasons.
The Dane was linked with a potential move to Queens Park Rangers earlier this summer, but according to BBC Radio Nottingham, it is Forest, who are heading the queue for his services.
Bendtner struggled to earn a regular role during his time at the Emirates, and was eventually shipped to Wolfsburg on a permanent basis in 2014 following loan spells at Sunderland and Juventus.
His career in Germany never lit up, and this urged him to terminate his contract in the search for first-team football.
