Valencia can sign Mangala for £15m

Spanish side Valencia have the option of signing Manchester City Eliaquim Mangala for £15m at any time during his loan agreement. The Citizens have taken a hefty loss on a player who arrived from Porto for £42m two seasons ago.

Mangala, 25, had struggled to adapt to the English game since his switch from Porto in the summer of 2014, and this eventually cost him a place when Pep Guardiola took over the reigns this summer.

The Frenchman therein joined Los Che on a season-long loan with an obligation for a permanent switch at the end of the campaign.

Spanish source Plaza Deportiva now reveals that Citizens are likely to take a major loss on their player with Los Che offered the chance to seal a permanent deal for as little as £15m.

Mangala made a total of 64 appearances for the Mancunian giants over the past couple of seasons.
