Inter Milan will step up their pursuit for Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal in January after they failed to land his services over the summer. The Spain international is currently playing second fiddle to Sergi Roberto for the right-back role.
Vidal, 27, joined the Catalan giants from Sevilla in the summer of 2015, but had to wait until the New Year for first-team action due to a transfer embargo imposed on Barcelona.
He followed to play a minor part during the previous campaign, but was hopeful that his chances would improve drastically once Dani Alves opted to left Barcelona for Juventus on a free transfer.
However, things have not gone on his way since with club graduate Sergi Roberto getting the nod for the defensive position under Luis Enrique.
Widespread sources reveal that the Nerazzurri will revive their interest in the Spaniard in the New Year with Barca open to offloading their player this time around.
Vidal has appeared in just one league game for Barcelona this season, that too being a shocking 2-1 defeat to minnows Alaves at Camp Nou.
