James Rodriguez snubbed Inter Milan

James Rodriguez is reported to have turned down a £70m move to Inter Milan this summer in order to prolong his career at Real Madrid. The 25-year-old has recently emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The attacker has a tough end to the previous campaign with manager Zinedine Zidane reluctant to play him from the starting line-up.

It was initially believed that Chelsea were the only club in the running for Rodriguez in the summer, but according to Mundo Deportivo, the Nerazzurri were prepared to break the bank to pursue the player's services.

Franck de Boer's side had quoted a £70m fee for the Colombian, which was around what Real wanted for their asset, but unfortunately the player was firm in his decision to remain at the European champions.

Rodriguez is expected to assess his position at the Bernabeu in the next couple of months before deciding on whether to pursue a fresh challenge in the New Year.
