Former Portsmouth midfielder Sulley Muntari has been linked with a possible switch to West Bromwich Albion. The Ghanaian footballer is out-of-contract after his release from Saudi-based club Al Ittihad.

  • Muntari made his mark in his sole season in England (2007-08) where he won the FA Cup with Portsmouth after which he earned moves to Inter Milan and AC Milan.

Reports in Ghana suggest that the 32-year-old could be heading for a return to the Premier League with the Baggies looking to add a couple of free-agents to their squad.

Tony Pulis' side have already offered trials to Mohamed Sissoko and Marouane Chamakh, and it now seems that Muntari could be the next in line as they seek to strengthen the side further for the ongoing campaign.

Muntari appeared in 29 outings for Pompey in the top flight whilst he also made a loan return with Sunderland in 2011.
