Steve Bruce is one among the leading candidates to takeover the managerial role at Stoke City, should Mark Hughes get the sack. The Potters have had a dismal start to their league campaign, and currently find themselves in the drop zone.
According to The Express, Hughes is the favourite among the bookies to be dismissed this season after his side attained just two points from the first six games in the top flight.
Bruce, who was an old teammate of Hughes at Manchester United, is on the search for a new job after he mutually cut ties with Hull City earlier this summer due to their lack of spending in the transfer market.
