Derby want Bendtner

Derby want Bendtner

26 January 2008 - 09:43

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is reportedly wanted by Derby boss Paul Jewell on loan for the rest of the season. Wenger is reportedly keen to let the Danish striker leave on loan on the final day of the transfer window. Robin van Persie only has one and a half weeks before returning from injury.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Wenger is reportedly unhappy with both Bendtner and Adebayor for their fracas in the Carling Cup against Tottenham where Adebayor reportedly headbutted Bendtner.

Instead, Paul Jewell is keen to hand Bendtner an opportunity to play plenty of first team football at Derby.

Bendtner has shown flashes of brilliance this season with Arsenal, including scoring the winning goal against Tottenham in the Premiership at the Emirates.

However, a loan move to Derby will guarantee the player some first team action.
