Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp remains hopeful of luring Inter Milan midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia to Anfield in the New Year. The France international has fallen out-of-favour under Frank de Boer this season.

  • The 23-year-old joined the Nerazzurri from AS Monaco in a £26m deal last year, and has since struggled to keep up with his performances.

Kondogbia has been rare starter for his side this term, and according to transfermarketweb, he could be off to Liverpool in the winter transfer window.

Klopp is a huge admirer of the former Lens graduate, and he is convinced of getting the best out of the player, should he move to Merseyside in January.

Liverpool will propose an initial loan agreement for the midfielder with an obligation for a permanent transfer at the end of the 2016/17 season.

Kondogbia has earned five caps for France with his debut coming against Belgium in 2013.
