Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has urged Super Agent Jorge Mendes to negotiate a deal for Valencia full-back Joao Cancelo.
The Special One is desperate to get his hands on a new right-back in January with Matteo Darmian set to head through the exit door.
Inter Milan have held initial negotiations over a loan-cum-buy option for Darmian, and the deal is set finalized before the turn of the year.
According to Tribal Football, the Mancunian giants are heading the queue to land Cancelo, who is also on the radar of Barcelona.
Antonio Valencia has acted as the make-shift right-back for United this season, and Mourinho feels the need for sufficient back-up with young graduate Timothy Fosu-Mensah still learning his trade.
Cancelo, who is now a full international with Portugal, has appeared in over 50 games for Valencia in his professional career.
