Real Madrid must cough up a £72m sum if they are to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in the future. The Gabon international has his eyes on a switch to the Bernabeu once he calls quits on his BvB career.
German daily Bild says BvB will not let their striker leave on the cheap despite his strong desire to link up with the European champions.
The likes of Chelsea and Manchester City have been credited with interest for the Gabon international, but it is Los Blancos, who remain the preferred destination for the pacey forward.
Real Madrid are currently restricted from making any signings until January 2018 after breaking rules protecting young under-age players, but they remain confident of winning their appeal against the ban.
Aubameyang has netted 90 goals in 154 appearances for Borussia Dortmund till date. His existing deal is due to expire in the summer of 2020.
