Inter Milan eyeing Rooney deal?

Serie A side Inter Milan are lining up a summer move for Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney. The England international has been tipped to leave the Red Devils at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old has been warming the substitutes' bench recently having underperformed during the opening stages of the campaign.

According to Italian source Calciomercato, the Nerazzurri are prepared to offer the striker with regular first-team football next season.

Rooney's existing deal is due to expire in the summer of 2018, and it is thought that the Red Devils would have to negotiate a huge payoff, should he part ways with the club next summer.

The former Everton graduate has amassed 246 goals for Manchester United in all competitions, and he is just four goals shy of breaking Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time scoring record at Old Trafford.
