Liverpool are planning a winter move for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Ante Coric. The teenager was previously on the radar of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Coric, 19, was an unused substitute for Croatia at the European championships where they eventually lost out to champions Portugal in the last 16.
The youngster has already drawn comparisons with former graduate Luka Modric for his style of play, and according to The Sun, the Reds are prepared to beat their rivals for his signature in the New Year.
Premier League leaders Manchester City have also been associated with the midfielder, who has netted a solitary goal in the league this season.
The attacking midfielder has earned two caps for his national side with his debut coming in a 1-0 friendly win over Moldova in May this year.
